JT4 is hiring an onsite JSE Operations Pilot for their Las Vegas, NV location. Must be a US citizen. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide simulation support for the Joint Simulation Environment project at Nellis AFB, building simulations to support USAF operational test and training missions. Perform control room functions, including role-playing for constructive air assets, to support test and training exercises. Assist in developing test planning, test conduct, test processes, test reports, operational procedures, data deliverables, and safety packages. Simulation Support: Configure the battle space, perform post-test reconfigurations, and prepare the virtual environment with customer-defined threat laydowns. Develop and implement threat configurations, System Under Test (SUT) configurations, and weapons configurations. Operate and act as a flyer/operator within the simulation environment to support verification and validation. Training and Mentorship: Instruct, mentor, and demonstrate to fellow flyers and engineers the threat system, operations, sensor systems, communication and navigation systems, and Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI). Modeling and Simulation: Provide modeling and simulation support for the development, upgrade, operations, and integration of constructive, real-time, and virtual piloted simulators. Support the flying quality, airframe, propulsion, avionics, sensors, weapon, and electronic warfare mission areas. Provide operations engineering support for test planning working groups, design reviews, and other related testing activities. QUALIFICATIONS A Bachelors degree and four years of related experience, or an accredited Masters degree and a minimum of two years of related experience, or an accredited doctorate degree are required for this position. In addition, an Engineer III must possess the following qualifications: Current/Former United States Military Rated officer. Knowledge of theory of flight, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft operating procedures, weapons systems, and mission tactics. Mastery of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enable the employee to serve as a technical authority on projects relating to the specific programs. Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area. Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools. Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Planning/organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines. Must have a current and valid driver’s license. Must currently possess or be eligible for U.S. Government Security Clearance - Top Secret//SCI. Desired Experience or Formal Training: 2+ years of 4th or 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft Experience. Graduate of the United States Air Force Weapons School (USAFWS) or United States Navy Top Gun. Graduate of the United States Air Force Test Pilot School (USAF TPS) or United States Navy Test Pilot School (USNTPS). Development Test (DT) or Operational Test (OT) Experience. Experience in managing or conducting United States Military flight test operations. SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $160-$180K annually.
