The Store Manager is responsible for all facets of store operations and directly influences the performance of everyone who interacts with guests. Using elements of GameStop\'s buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model, the Circle of Life, the Store Manager develops and promotes a sales culture by creating individualized and complete solutions for every guest, and providing outstanding guest service experiences through professional conduct and shared passion for gaming, while supporting the overall store environment to meet/exceed sales and profit. This role ensures products are easy to see and buy, builds sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge with guests, maintains a clean and organized shopping environment, and grows guest loyalty and repeat business. It may supervise a retail staff that varies based on store size, location(s), and expected sales volume. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Store Manager will manage and lead in a multiunit capacity. Provide and model best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, apply selling behaviors during every transaction, and thank guests; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns using POS system accurately, including making correct change and providing receipts. Respond to guest questions in person or by phone; use the official GameStop phone greeting. Promote GameStop\'s guest benefits, e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, and Pro Rewards loyalty program. Recruit, interview, hire, assess, develop, and retain high-performing associates; ensure onboarding, training, and compliance training prior to opening/closing shifts. Communicate regularly with store associates and District Manager to implement store initiatives; set guest service expectations and train associates on policies, procedures, and guidelines. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates, Retail Keyholders, and Assistant Store Managers; schedule associates and manage breaks/meals as required. Approve payroll, manage time off requests, and verify compensation. Provide timely recognition and feedback to associates; document performance in the Workday/HR system. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, merchandising, and working order of fixtures and equipment; ensure Omni-Channel orders are fulfilled and shipped daily. Perform inventory counts, stock shelves, move product from stock room, and ensure products are represented, organized, and alphabetized on the sales floor. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages/belongings at close or end of shifts as appropriate. Lead the team in meeting/exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete administrative duties for goal achievement. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transaction totals; manage closeout paperwork and bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies, conduct merchandise counts, and communicate issues to District Manager. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls promptly; ensure proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain safety awareness for associates and guests; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records and up-to-date manuals; partner with appropriate military personnel for stores on military bases where applicable. Adhere to all GameStop policies and the Associate Handbook/Code of Ethics. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States; at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 1 year of retail management experience required; 3 years of retail sales/guest service/management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills; ability to provide individualized guest assistance. Clear verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work independently and as a team leader; meet leadership performance expectations.
