About the Team
The Online Ordering team at DoorDash is responsible for building and scaling white-labeled 1P mobile apps for our restaurant merchants — from onboarding partners to delivering high-quality ordering features. Lead and Inspire : Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of mobile and full stack engineers, creating clear career paths and development opportunities. Drive Technical Vision : Partner with technical leads on iOS, Android, and backend to define and execute the team’s architectural roadmap. Deliver Impactful Features : Oversee development of core product experiences, including onboarding automation, user sessions, login mechanisms, push notifications, menu optimization, guest checkout, and reorder experiences. Collaborate Across Functions : Work with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into user-first solutions. Operational Excellence : Establish best practices in development processes, testing, release management, and monitoring. BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field 3+ years of experience in people management leading full-stack teams (backend, web, & mobile) of 8+ engineers 8+ years of industry experience Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization Hands-on leadership and strong product intuition Humility - willing to get into the details and open to feedback Growth mindset - eager to expand your skill set and carve out your career path in a hyper-growth setting Adaptability, resiliency, and ability to thrive in ambiguity - things can change quickly, and you\'ll need to help the team evolve Notice to Applicants for Jobs Located in NYC or Remote Jobs Associated With Office in NYC Only We use Covey as part of our hiring and/or promotional process for jobs in NYC and certain features may qualify it as an AEDT in NYC. The successful candidate\’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee\’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
