Lead Sales Strategy into a New Era of Excellence

– The Diplomat Beach Resort, South Florida’s iconic oceanfront destination, is preparing for a transformation into the Signia by Hilton brand in 2026. As our

Director of Sales

on the leadership team, you will drive performance at a world-class resort and shape the commercial vision for its next chapter as part of Hilton’s premier meetings-and-events brand. This is your opportunity to lead through growth, inspire a high-performing team, and make a lasting impact on one of Hilton’s flagship properties. A Director of Sales is responsible for maximizing asset value by driving above-market topline revenues and creating a world-class culture to attract and retain top talent across specific commercial functions. Hilton seeks strategic leaders who understand how to integrate people, process, and performance to create a winning formula. Hilton’s Commercial Services organization comprises teams driving sales, revenue, marketing, catering and events management, call centers, and analytics. These functions form Hilton’s “commercial engine” and are essential to driving profitable growth. Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities are to lead the group, transient, and catering (where applicable) sales teams at your hotel/complex and deploy business strategies that are creative, dynamic, and impactful toward achieving the hotel’s annual budget and crossover targets. You will oversee commercial strategies for your sales team and connect strategy with business processes to impact revenue streams, including Rooms, Catering and Events. Key deliverables include setting deployment, team composition, and providing a cadence of activities with a "predictive and prescriptive" approach to drive performance. You should also facilitate the delivery of the Americas Commercial Operating Model pertaining to rooms (and banquets) sales. Strategy: Contribute to the hotel’s Annual Multi-Year Strategic Intentions and Commercial Strategy in partnership with the hotel commercial leadership team and regional support. Directly account for setting strategy and delivering the hotel’s sales targets across direct selling revenue streams including group rooms, banquets, catering, business transient and leisure transient. Ensure that Business Review Guidelines (current to +5 years) and Group Pricing & Rate Quotation Strategies maximize pricing components of sales and catering opportunities and achieve positive group market share. Align sales activities with the optimal mix, contribute to forecast accuracy, and execute strategies for different demand periods and pricing targets. Understand and contribute to GOP and EBITDA targets and operate within the departmental expense budget. In collaboration with hotel leaders, contribute to knowledge of competitor and market activity. Leadership: Lead daily and weekly business review and sales strategy meetings; manage and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews with eligible team members; contribute to the commercial strategy plan with the DOSM and socialize updates; oversee site visit strategies; conform to Hilton brand standards and use all communication tools; recruit and retain all sales roles; develop and lead the sales team with ongoing performance and career development plans; conduct performance reviews for direct and dotted-line reports across groups such as Group Sales, Business Transient Sales, Leisure Sales, Catering Sales, and Contract/PERM Sales; foster a culture aligned with Hilton’s DEI and ESG goals. Ownership, Customer, and Stakeholder Relations: Contribute to performance and commercial activity reporting; liaise with Hilton Worldwide Sales for demand and conversion; build strong relationships with CVBs and third-party travel partners; engage with customers across all sales segments, including support for site visits, pre-convention meetings, and sales travel into markets.
