Overview Invivoscribe is an industry pioneer dedicated to Improving Lives with Precision Diagnostics®. We are a global leader in standardization of testing and accelerating access to cancer treatments for over 25 years. Headquartered in San Diego, CA with locations worldwide, we offer a comprehensive portfolio of products and services and collaborate to develop molecular assays, reagents, controls, and bioinformatics tools under ISO 13485 design control used by over 700 clinical laboratories in over 160 countries. Our laboratories offer internationally standardized next generation molecular and flow cytometry panels to support drug development and accelerate drug approvals. We work with pharmaceutical partners and regulatory agencies to develop companion diagnostics for cancer drug approvals. Our harmonized ISO15189 accredited and CLIA/CAP clinical laboratories focus on clinically actionable biomarkers to support therapeutic decisions, measurable residual disease (MRD) testing, patient stratification, and trial enrollment.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership Development

Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across biotech, pharma, and life sciences sectors.

Develop and execute strategies to grow partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and research organizations.

Ensure partnerships strengthen Invivoscribe’s differentiation, competitiveness, and market leadership.

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, converting them into long-term revenue-generating relationships.

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams — including R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, and Laboratory Operations — to align business development initiatives with company capabilities.

Negotiation and Deal Execution

Lead negotiations for fee-for-service, custom development, licensing, and strategic collaboration agreements.

Manage high-stakes negotiations and alliance governance to achieve win–win outcomes.

Oversee the full business development cycle from lead generation to contract closure and implementation.

Market and Competitive Insight

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and partnership opportunities.

Develop data-driven business cases and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Lead strategy and positioning for WGS and MRD offerings to differentiate Invivoscribe in the market.

Commercial and Scientific Growth

Expand partnerships in companion diagnostics (CDx) and clinical services to drive growth and innovation.

Accelerate adoption of Invivoscribe assays into international cancer care guidelines and pathways.

Build collaborations with global KOLs to strengthen scientific credibility and commercial traction.

Represent Invivoscribe as a thought leader in biotech commercial strategy at industry events and client meetings.

Performance and Impact

Drive revenue targets and partnership outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.

Deliver measurable growth through a robust and sustainable business development pipeline.

Provide regular reporting, forecasting, and insights on partnership performance and market opportunities.

You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business, or related field and typically 10+ years of business development experience in biotech, pharma, or life sciences, with a strong track record of closing deals and building partnerships. Advanced degree is advantageous. Equivalency of education and experience considered.

Networked with strong relationships in pharma, biotech and/or diagnostics to accelerate partnerships.

Proven ability to navigate complex deal structures including companion diagnostics, licensing, and collaborations.

Solid understanding of drug development, molecular diagnostics, or biotechnology platforms.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (MS Teams, Webex, Zoom) with ability to learn new software.
