The physician will provide health care for individuals in the clinic in accordance with training and the policies and standards of practice established by the clinic. Delivers care appropriate for a center with a multicultural patient population. Elicits detailed patient histories and conducts complete physician examinations. Reaches diagnosis and orders appropriate laboratory tests and referrals, and counsels patient and family on health and disease.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Physician reports directly to our Medical Director and is primarily responsible for the provision of high-quality medical care to our patients.
100% Outpatient – No Call
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Patient population: Medicare Advantage; fluent Spanish speaking preferred
Ensure that all charts and medical records are accurately completed in a timely manner; adhere to clinical policies and procedures
Responsible for the delivery of care, treatment, and referrals
Arrange for referral resources for medical specialties not provided at the urgent care center
Evaluate patients to determine medical condition, establish a diagnosis, and propose a treatment plan

Medical, Dental, and Vision
Education & Experience
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and valid unrestricted license
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family, Geriatric, or Internal Medicine
Current active Federal and State DEA License
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
Proven experience as a Physician
Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
Knowledge of infectious diseases, symptoms, and epidemiology
Knowledge of common medications, side effects, and contraindications
Knowledge of legal medical guidelines and best practices
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Respect for patient confidentiality
Compassionate and approachable; responsible and trustworthy
Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
Job Requirements Physical Requirements This position works under usual office conditions. The employee must use a personal computer and may be on the phone for extended periods. Ability to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally climb. May require extended and flexible hours and weekends. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Travel Requirements Work will involve some driving/travel to assigned clinics.
