Strategic Logistics Analyst Job Category: Logistics. Time Type: Full time. Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret. Employee Type: Regular. Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25%. Type of Travel: Continental US.
The Opportunity CACI is seeking a Strategic Logistics Analyst to support a transformative mission within the Department of Energy (DOE). This role involves working with senior leaders to overhaul procurement and inventory management operations, reduce lead times, and empower field teams across the country. You’ll serve a mission-critical organization within the DOE, helping to standardize processes, implement cost-effective logistics solutions, and enhance operational performance across a national footprint.
Responsibilities As an analyst supporting strategic logistics efforts, your responsibilities will include:
Shaping and contributing to a Procurement Services Program Plan aligned with program goals and the mission of the DOE.
Analyzing inventory and procurement processes, identifying gaps, and developing recommendations for increased efficiency.
Reviewing and compiling documentation to support data-driven decision-making.
Preparing concise, executive-level briefings and deliverables for senior leadership.
Creating and refining workflows, reports, and analysis products that support operational improvements.
Applying logistics best practices and translating them into actionable strategies that drive measurable results.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across locations and disciplines, using your experience and insight to help shape smarter, faster, and more effective logistics operations.
Qualifications Required:
Seven (7+) years of experience providing logistics support to DOE or (Department of Defense) DoD supply or logistics programs.
Active Security Clearance: DoD Top Secret or Secret; DOE Q or L.
Proven experience in gathering and synthesizing complex information into leadership-ready work products.
Confident and effective in briefing diverse audiences, including SES (senior Executive Service) and flag-level leadership.
Demonstrated understanding of inventory control best practices and how to implement them.
Desired:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Relevant certifications such as DAWIA, FAC-C, APICS (CPIM/CSCP/CLTD/CTSC), or Lifecycle Logistics (LCL).
Experience supporting Federal Government programs with strategic logistics, supply chain, or acquisition initiatives.
Familiarity with various contract and funding types (e.g., GWACs, BOAs, IDIQs, FFP, T&M, cost-plus).
Strong skills in data analysis and visualization.
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related procurement guidance.
Experience applying Category Management or Strategic Sourcing principles in a government setting.

Pay Range The proposed salary range for this position is: $70,800 - $148,600. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
