The Cardiovascular Technologist assumes the responsibility and accountability, under the direction of a physician for providing safe and competent care, both technically and clinically, in the diagnosis, treatment, and intervention of cardiovascular disease in accordance with Lakewood Ranch Medical Center policies, procedures, and philosophy. Will provide leadership and work collaboratively with all healthcare team members within the cardiac cath lab and the facility as a whole. Will be willing to train Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist, or X-Ray/CT Techs. Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, customer service skills, and strong leadership are required. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High school education or GED equivalent. Previous Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology or Invasive Vascular Lab experience preferred. BLS required. ACLS (obtained within one year if new grad of employment or first offering). RCIS / RCS / Radiology Tech or enrolled in an accredited program. Experience managing inventory is desired.
