Data Center Construction Project Manager – Colo – Ashburn, VA. This opportunity is with a leading mission-critical data center developer/wholesaler/colo provider. They deliver turnkey data center solutions tailored to client requirements for mission-critical facilities and operate with reliability for hyperscale and enterprise customers. We are looking for a Data Center Construction Project Manager to support critical facility construction projects. The PM will lead all aspects of delivering data center construction projects, provide leadership to contractors and vendors, and manage regional project assignments. The successful candidate will oversee project delivery on budget and on time, ensuring the scope and quality meet Company Design Standards and project objectives. The role requires exceptional organization and strong back-office capabilities (change orders, budgets, paperwork driven, etc.). Responsibilities
Maintain liaison with contractors and vendors to manage day-to-day activities impacting delivery of critical facilities construction projects. Ensure day-to-day project responsibilities are met by contractors and vendors. Manage multiple projects concurrently; assist the Senior Project Manager in negotiating contracts; create and manage project schedules. Develop project plans including sizing, costs, budget, scheduling, timeline, and change orders. Assist with reporting and RFPs to contractors. Deliver Built-to-Suit projects with emphasis on value-engineering. Drive Company Standards in project delivery by all participants. Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interests while maintaining client relationships. Represent the company in project meetings. Act as key liaison with managers of all company departments. Maintain logs required to track project progress. Possess an extensive network within the mission-critical data center facilities market. Background in Critical Facilities Design, Architecture, Engineering and Construction Services. Qualifications
Experience managing data center construction projects as an Owner or General Contractor. Minimum 7–10+ years in the data center construction industry. Client-facing/client relationship management skills. Familiarity with the design process of building systems for data centers and mission-critical projects. Solid construction project management experience. Effective communicator (emails, phone, in person). Ability to work independently. Strong administrative skills. Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel; AutoCAD a plus. Submittal Instructions
