This position supports key aspects of tax reporting and compliance across both domestic and international operations.
Responsibilities
Assist with preparation of annual tax provision estimates and collaborate with Financial Planning to integrate tax impacts into the monthly Earnings and Cashflow Forecasts and Operating Plans.
Preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions and related disclosures (ASC 740).
Responding to external auditor requests and assisting with other financial reporting deliverables.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and accounting standards and assess potential impacts.
Prepare various monthly tax account reconciliations.
Maintain/monitor internal tax control processes.
Assist with preparation of U.S. federal and international tax compliance.
Assist with preparation of local country tax compliance.
Participate in process improvements and technology implementation within the tax function.
Special projects and research as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
CPA license or actively pursuing.
3+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
Income tax provision/ASC 740 experience (preferred).
Tax Forecasting/Financial Planning experience a plus.
Oil and Gas industry experience a plus.
Experience with tax software and advanced functions of Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Requires strong working relations with various groups within the Tax Department.
Ability to interact effectively with other corporate departments and various levels of management.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
