Overview
GGN is seeking a
Landscape Designer
to support our native garden and residential work in the Pacific Northwest. The focus is on visualizing design options from schematic design through technical documentation and construction oversight. This position works directly with the leading Principal to move design ideas forward through the development of site grading, planting, soils, irrigation, paving, furniture, and amenities. The role requires demonstrating the following abilities: Responsibilities
Assists in preparing graphic presentations for client meetings. Assists in the preparation of plans, design drawings, and construction documents. Performs assignments under the supervision of senior personnel. Coordinates with the project team regarding individual project responsibilities. Exemplifies personal responsibility and accountability for work. Maintains a professional persona appropriate for work interactions. Is strongly motivated and an excellent communicator. Our residential projects focus heavily on planting design, and may also involve landform, paving, soils, irrigation, and site furniture and amenities. We enjoy continuous learning and solving problems through a combination of open-minded listening, rigorous research, and hands-on trial and error in all aspects of our practice. Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates will have the drive and ability to contribute to a collaborative design environment, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate how they use drawing as a tool to solve problems and communicate designs. Aptitude with AutoCAD, LandFX, and the entire Adobe Suite is essential, along with one to three years of professional experience in a landscape architecture office. Seattle, WA Compensation & Benefits
This position offers flexibility in how you are engaged with our team. The role may be structured as either an hourly employee position or an independent contractor arrangement.
