R-100381**Job Description:****Position Summary:**
The Mortgage Loan Officer will assist members to understand their goals and recommend mortgage loan products that best meet their needs and financial goals. The incumbent will gather and evaluate all necessary preliminary financial information, submit complete loan applications, communicate with the member throughout the process, and build and manage relationships with potential business affiliates to gain leads and opportunities in target markets to further credit union growth.**Primary Responsibilities and Duties:**
1. Present a professional image and demeanor when representing the Credit Union.
2. Responsible for meeting minimum production and individual goals, as defined by the sales manager.
3. Develop and manage a sales plan to generate new business opportunities.
4. Develop and manage long-term relationships with local realtors, builders and other community partners.
5. Develop relationships with branch managers, internal business partners, and other team members to cultivate business with existing and potential referral sources.
6. Responsible for participating in Realtor and Builder associations to develop relationships within the community.
7. Educate and advise members on the mortgage process and specific programs.
8. Responsible for ongoing communication with member including guidance through the application process and status updates of the mortgage loan.
9. Ability to complete a thorough, accurate loan application on the loan origination software, pull member’s credit information, reconcile all liabilities with member, send accurate information to automated underwriting system (DU), and obtain all required documentation.
10. Responsible for complying with all state and federal regulations including, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA, TRID and Fair Lending Practices and credit union policies and procedures.
11. Maintain in depth knowledge of all Everwise products and services to promote and cross sell.

12. Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union.**Knowledge/Skills:**
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Sales skills with ability to build internal and external relationships.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and mortgage systems applications, including but not limited to: Encompass and additional vendor website applications.
• Familiarity with secondary market underwriting guidelines and knowledge of automated underwriting system (DU)
• High attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
• Strong prioritization and time management skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial institution products and services**Minimum Requirements:**
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year experience in a mortgage-related field.
• 1+ year sales experience.
• Experience using a mortgage loan management system is required, Encompass experience highly preferred.
• Must be registered with an active NMLS License ID or meet registration requirements with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System to obtain NMLS License ID.
