Overview

The Process Development Scientist will conceive, design, implement, and execute scientific experiments and engineering strategies that support packaging and inspection processes. This role contributes to the successful completion of projects and operational goals under general guidance from a supervisor. Responsibilities

Design, execute, and interpret experimental strategies related to packaging and inspection processes. Provide technical support for automatic packaging equipment, including vision systems and serialization solutions. Conduct troubleshooting, investigations, and root cause analyses for packaging and inspection operations. Develop and implement process optimization strategies to reduce operational costs while maintaining product quality. Design and execute process characterization protocols, including testing strategies, validations, and technical documentation. Coordinate project execution activities such as material requests, training, production scheduling, and work order generation. Author scientific reports, regulatory documents, and technical summaries independently. Monitor scientific literature and technological developments relevant to the field. Represent the department in cross-functional teams and external scientific communities. Mentor junior staff and contribute to department-wide initiatives such as safety and recruiting. Education

Doctorate degree, OR Master’s degree + 2 years of scientific experience, OR Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of scientific experience. Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of vision system technologies and packaging inspection concepts. Familiarity with local process flows, layouts, and SOPs for packaging operations. Experience with risk assessments and QRAES methodologies. Proficiency in documentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Visio, MS Project). Understanding of project management principles and timeline coordination. Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations. Contract
