Associate Actuary – Annuities
Location:
Hybrid – Mid West
Salary:
$110,000-$135,000 + Bonus
Summary:
Smith Hanley Associates is seeking an Associate Actuary to join its dynamic Actuarial department. The ideal candidate will have a college degree in math, statistics, finance, or a related field, with proven actuarial experience. Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects. Experience with MG-ALFA or similar actuarial tools is preferred. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience. Regular attendance and punctuality are required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research, data analysis, and modeling for actuarial support
Develop and validate pricing, financial projection, and cash flow models
Participate in experience studies and set actuarial assumptions
Qualifications:
ASA (Society of Actuaries) of near ASA with all exam requirements met
Experience with MG-ALFA, AXIS or similar modeling software
