Overview
Software Development Engineer II, Digital Acceleration in Amazon is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Software Development Engineer to build world-class Digital Post Purchase Platform for digital subscriptions. This candidate will be joining a team working on highly scalable services including modern UX using native cloud technologies. The work will be highly visible to Amazon customers and internal stakeholders. As a Software Development Engineer, this person will contribute to the design and development of highly scalable web services and user experiences, while also providing technical leadership and mentoring to the team and tech stakeholders. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences and back-end web services, strong technical skills, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, high creativity, and great analytical reasoning skills. The candidate will also have proven experience in designing cross-team's systems architecture and mentoring peer software developers to enhance productivity. About the team: The Digital Post Purchase Platform team within the Digital Acceleration org owns services supporting the post purchase management for Subscriptions, Content, and Devices for 35+ internal clients such as Amazon Prime, Amazon Music, Audible, Kindle, Prime Video, Amazon App Store, etc. Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and development of highly scalable web services and user experiences. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the team and tech stakeholders. Collaborate on cross-team system architecture design and drive improvements in reliability and scalability. Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications
