Full-Charge Bookkeeper Location: Garland, Texas, In-Office Required Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Accounting / Finance About the Company We are a well-established, growing mid-sized company looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to take full ownership of our accounting operations. Position Summary The Full-Charge Bookkeeper will oversee the company’s complete accounting cycle — from accounts payable and receivable to payroll, benefits administration, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is a hands-on position requiring exceptional organizational skills, strong accounting knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently without constant oversight. The ideal candidate will work closely with owner to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial management. Key Responsibilities Handle all Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including billing, collections, and vendor management. Manage payroll processing and employee benefits administration. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank and credit card reconciliations. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting documentation for owner review. Manage tax-related responsibilities, including payroll taxes, sales tax, and coordination with external accountants for annual filings. Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and properly documented. Monitor cash flow, assist in budgeting, and help forecast future financial performance. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies. Recommend and implement process improvements for financial efficiency and accuracy. Assist with year-end audits and other financial reviews as needed. Qualifications 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience in a small to medium-sized company. Proven ability to manage all accounting functions independently. Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems. Experience with JobBOSS ERP software or similar manufacturing/accounting platforms is a plus. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational ability. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively report to ownership. Discretion and integrity in handling confidential financial information.
