Kelly is supporting U.S. veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Compensation & Pension (C&P) program. We are seeking
Internal Medicine and General Medicine Physicians with private practices
to perform in-office, non-treatment, disability evaluations and complete standardized Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) to support VA disability claims decisions.
This role is ideal for independent physicians seeking flexible, meaningful work in a documentation-based setting

Independent Contractor (1099) Specialties:

Locations: Within 50 miles of a Department of Veterans Affairs medical center or outpatient clinic
Duties and Responsibilities Conduct in-person, outpatient medical disability evaluations for veterans Complete VA-issued DBQs and General Medical Opinions using standardized forms Utilize a secure software platform for documentation and invoice submission to reduce administrative burden Submit accurate, thorough reports and brief invoices following each case Maintain compliance with all relevant VA documentation standards and protocols Communicate any required follow-up or clarification needs in a timely manner Maintain a professional, veteran-centered exam environment
Minimum Qualifications MD with active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal or General Medicine Must operate an independent outpatient practice under an LLC Clinic must be located within 50 miles of the listed VA medical facilities Experience with documentation-based medical assessments preferred Strong attention to detail and comfort with structured templates and forms Prior experience with VA DBQs or disability medicine is a plus, but not required
Compensation and Invoicing Compensation is provided on a
per-case basis , with rates reflecting the
number and complexity of DBQs and medical opinions
completed Invoices are submitted through our integrated platform alongside completed documentation Contractors are paid on a
1099 basis
after review and approval of submitted cases Case volume is flexible and based on physician availability Rate structure and invoicing training provided during onboarding
Credentialing and Onboarding All contracted physicians must complete the following before beginning services: Credentialing and Background Check VA Name Check VA TMS (Talent Management System) training Submission of facility photos Final site inspection
