San Diego State University’s Department of Athletics is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations. Reporting directly to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, this position is a key member of the coaching and administrative team and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Aztec women’s basketball program.

This position requires a collaborative and strategic leader who can manage logistics, operations, communications, and administrative tasks in support of a nationally competitive Division I basketball program. In this role, you will: Plan and coordinate all team travel, including transportation, lodging, meals, and itineraries. Oversee team budget activity in collaboration with the Athletics Business Office. Schedule team practices, workouts, and maintain communication through ARMS scheduling system. Coordinate logistics for recruiting visits, player housing, and NCAA compliance documentation. Act as liaison to campus and department units (Facilities, Equipment, Admissions, Financial Aid, etc.). Support team branding, community relations, and on-campus engagement. Manage operations related to equipment orders, training meals, and donor events. Provide oversight of student support staff including clerical assistants and managers. Assist in the planning of fundraising and donor engagement activities, including oversight of NIL tracking via the MESA Foundation. Position Information This is a full-time, at-will role, offering comprehensive benefits. Position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 2 years of administrative, operational, or coaching experience in Division I basketball Key Qualifications Experience in budgeting and operations for a collegiate athletics program Knowledge of NCAA compliance and Division I recruiting procedures Experience managing game-day logistics and team travel Familiarity with scheduling software such as ARMS Licenses Required California Driver’s License within 30 days of hire.
