You Will

Program Development & Oversight:

Plan, coordinate, and execute educational, recreational, and faith-based activities for children. Ensure that all activities align with the mission and values of the church and its outreach goals. Develop lesson plans, enrichment activities, and special events that foster spiritual growth, academic development, and social-emotional skills. Monitor the overall safety and well-being of all children in the program.

Staff Management & Volunteer Coordination

Recruit, train, and supervise after-school program staff and volunteers. Develop schedules for staff and volunteers and ensure adequate supervision for all program activities. Conduct regular staff meetings and provide feedback, encouragement, and support to the team.

Family And Community Engagement

Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and program updates. Collaborate with local community organizations and schools to enhance program offerings and meet the needs of families. Encourage active participation from families in after-school program activities and church events.

Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate records for all participants, including attendance, permission slips, emergency contact information, and any other required documentation. Manage the program’s budget, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources. Track and report on program outcomes, including regular updates for church leadership and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations related to child safety, health, and program standards. Research and write grants for Program - Seek opportunities for grants and donations to help support the program and make it self-sustaining.

Spiritual Leadership & Faith Integration

Incorporate Christian teachings and values into the program's curriculum, encouraging spiritual growth through Bible stories, prayers, and service projects. Foster a Christ-centered environment that supports children’s emotional, social, and spiritual development. Lead or coordinate a weekly devotion or chapel time as part of the after-school experience.

You Have

A good understanding of the whole counsel of God and proficiency in Biblical exegesis Experience in teaching the word of God A good working knowledge of computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, Google drive) Experience working with children in a formal or informal educational setting, with a preference for experience in after-school programs. Familiarity with integrating Christian principles into the after-school environment. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to develop and implement creative and engaging educational activities. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, parents, volunteers, and community partners. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). A passion for working with children and a deep commitment to community service. A positive, patient, and nurturing attitude.
