As WMC enters its “Era of Measurement”, the Senior Manager, Data Analytics – eComm Insights role will drive interconnectivity between ads and eComm through data driven insights. This role will serve as a senior-level thought partner to Directors, VPs and above on high-visibility projects, and reports into centralized insights team within Business Operations and creates value through actionable insights. Key Responsibilities
Own all eComm & WMC mutually related analytical projects and recommendations on how to best grow the business, including conducting deep dives and other ad hoc analysis as needed. Deliverables include leading business review deep dives with WMC leadership at the SVP/VP levels and providing fact-based narratives and commentary. Act as the subject matter expert on eComm business performance, leading analyses and insights on day-to-day eComm performance while identifying key underlying drivers impacting WMC Performance. Build and manage relationships with eComm stakeholders and represent WMC in various forums with an analytical and storytelling lens. Own eComm-focused deep dives on business reviews and presentations with cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leadership. Create frameworks and help quantify opportunities, risks, and success metrics related to all aspects of eComm and WMC performance. Serve as an insights-driven thought partner to eComm teams and other cross-functional leaders supporting Walmart’s ads business growth. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, STEM, or related field with 5-10 years of relevant experience. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Previous analytics or consulting/strategy experience with familiarity with complex data sets. Background in Media & Advertising, eCommerce, or retail is preferred. Strong critical thinking, business acumen, and success in data storytelling. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and cross-functional projects. Strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, proficiency in SQL, PowerBI/Tableau preferred. Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
