Solutions Architect - Amazon Connect - Public Sector

Base pay range: $118,200/yr - $204,300/yr

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their technology domains, providing business and technical expertise to help customers succeed. We are looking for individuals who can help Public Sector customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems using the latest cloud technologies.

You should be comfortable discussing complex technical details with engineers and briefing executives. This role involves engaging with AWS solutions architects, partners, and professional services to drive large and highly complex opportunities to closure.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure customer success in building and launching Amazon Connect solutions
  • Educate Public Sector customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure cloud deployments are designed for success
  • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or using AWS
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community
  • Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, blogs, and technical guides
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to become cloud advocates
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, partners, service engineering teams, and support

Day in the life

The Amazon Connect team is creating and migrating large-scale workloads on AWS. You will engage with technical teams requiring AWS expertise and influence outcomes for Public Sector customers. You will enjoy educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for government customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 4+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
  • 4+ years of customer-facing contact center experience, preferably in the Public Sector
  • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience building integrations across WFM, CRM, and contact center solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on experience building complex multi- and omni-channel contact center solutions, ideally SaaS in the cloud
  • Experience with scripting/coding (e.g., Python, Java, C#, .NET, or Node.js)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with executives, IT management, and customers
  • Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
  • Designing highly available applications with focus on infrastructure robustness (networking, servers, storage)
  • Active Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Base pay ranges from $118,200/year to $204,300/year. Pay is based on factors including location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Equity, sign-on, and other compensation may be provided as part of a total package.
