YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support creation of user stories to capture requirements. This is a combination of creating some stories and supporting the delivery team as they create some
- Support estimation, prioritization, and release assignment for user stories
- Support testing activities, ranging from creating test plans to hands on execution, working with the business analyst who will be the lead for testing
- Provide backup support for operations and the help desk when the operations support resource is out, or in times of surge
- Serve as a liaison between government stakeholders, technical teams, and program leadership to define and refine requirements.
- Lead requirements elicitation workshops, documenting business needs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support enterprise governance by aligning requirements with the Technology Reference Model (TRM) and DHS architecture standards.
- Translate emerging technology concepts (AI, automation, new enterprise services) into actionable requirements and business cases.
- Develop and maintain process flows, SOPs, and dashboards to track adoption, usage, and mission value metrics.
- Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure requirements are translated into functional solutions.
- Support Section 508 compliance and FedRAMP considerations during requirements definition.
- Contribute to program deliverables, including weekly status reports, monthly progress reports, and stakeholder briefings.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities to accelerate adoption of enterprise solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Active DHS/CBP clearance
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related discipline or a minimum of five (5) years relevant specialized experience.
- Strong knowledge of requirements management practices, Agile methodologies, and enterprise IT governance.
- Proficiency in tools including Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience leading stakeholder sessions and explaining technical concepts to leadership
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
NICE TO HAVES
- Knowledge of Technology Reference Models, enterprise architecture, and IT standards compliance.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, TRM governance workflows, and Business Connection portal.
- Background in emerging technologies (AI, automation, cloud services) in a government context.
- Understanding of Section 508 and FedRAMP requirements.
Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active DHS Public Trust, preferably Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
