Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary of $28+ per hour depending on experience
• $3/hour Night Shift Differential

Hours, Location and Environment

• Monday – Friday every week
• 2:00pm-10:30pm
• 1 Saturday per month
• Stable hours for financial security and work-life balance
• Repair/maintenance shop at our landfill site in Bennington, NE

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts
• Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns
• Safety checks on vehicles; uphold the safety of employees and communities
• Complete required paperwork, document parts usage, and repair times
• Assist senior Mechanics in project work
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards
• Perform work according to established safety procedures

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Be over 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Physical effort including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing
• Exposure to physical occupational risks (cuts, burns, chemicals) often
• Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes often
• Work in both indoor garage/shop and outdoor environments with inclement weather, heat and humidity
