Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach is currently looking for a Part-Time Server to join our team. The Latitude Server is at the forefront of resident interaction with the dining program for the community, from daily restaurant and bar operation to catering and special events. This role requires good judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment while authentically delivering the Latitude Margaritaville lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Prepare restaurant for lunch/dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils.
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Explain the chef’s specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions.
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and deviations; notice if kitchen staff is running out of any items.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording resident choices and identifying special dietary needs and requests.
• Serve orders by delivering patrons’ choices from bar and kitchen; provide accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
• Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring about needs and observing the dining process.
• Maintain table settings by removing courses as completed; replenish utensils; refill water glasses; attend to spills or special needs.
• Open and pour wine at tableside when appropriate.
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payment, and returning credit card or signature slip to resident.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Be willing to fill in for absent staff as needed and assist with special events as required.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary.

• Maintain a high level of resident contact throughout service hours.
• Build strong, effective teams through supervision, training, coaching, counseling and leadership.

• Ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
• Maintain a pristine dining area at all times.

Technical competencies

Education

• High School Graduate or GED preferred.

Experience

• Previous serving experience required.
• Excellent oral communication skills required.
• Positive interpersonal skills required.
• Food Handlers Card.
• Good telephone speaking and listening ability.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
• Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
• Communication skills (listening, verbal and written).
• Organizational skills.

Compensation/Work Schedule

• $10.98 per hour plus tips.
• Part-Time (20+ hours weekly).
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Open availability required.
