Position Overview The

BIM GIS Coordinator III / VDC

plays a key role in supporting the Build-LACCD Program by managing, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of BIM, GIS, and asset data across multiple projects. This position is responsible for overseeing submittals, maintaining as-built documentation, supporting CMMS data integration, and coordinating with project teams to ensure compliance with program standards.

Key Responsibilities 1. Data Management & Quality Assurance Monitor and reconcile design and construction team submittals related to GIS and asset tracking. Collect and perform QA/QC of CMMS data for bond-funded facilities and infrastructure. Review and upload equipment and GIS spatial data (building spaces, hardscape/softscape, landscape, infrastructure, security features) to CMMS. Maintain and manage as-built information using SharePoint, DocView, and other data sources. 2. BIM / CAD Standards & Documentation Review drawings for Build-LACCD CADD standards compliance. Manage and support Bluebeam Studio sessions, including training and general technical support. Support As-Built and M&O data delivery review at Ops Closeout for bond projects, including infrastructure, energy, stormwater, and security systems. Develop and manage As-Built GIS maps for bond-impacted facilities. 3. Database & Record Management Provide SharePoint record drawing database support. Manage ProjectWise database, including uploading/downloading files, managing users, providing training, and generating monthly reports. Provide technical support for data management platforms. 4. BIM Submittals & Coordination Track and review BIM submittals to ensure compliance with Build-LACCD standards and scope of services. Coordinate BIM submittals between college project teams and design/construction teams. Administer and support BIM 360 model reviews and workflows. Collaborate with project teams to develop BIM and GIS scopes of services. 5. GIS & Field Data Collection Provide support for ESRI ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online platforms. Review GIS and BIM deliverables for ArcGIS Online integration. Conduct site walks for spot checks including LiDAR scanning, GPR and GPS surveying, and field photography. Perform QA/QC and collect field data across Build-LACCD and LACCD project sites (approximately 30% of the role). Investigate and verify existing utility infrastructure. Identify and help resolve utility conflicts. Monitor construction progress and verify work against approved drawings and schedules. Document field observations and prepare reports for project records and client deliverables. 6. Technical Support Provide general technical support to project teams for Bluebeam, ProjectWise, ArcGIS, BIM 360, and related platforms. Deliver user training as needed to ensure consistent use of tools and compliance with program standards.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Minimum 6 years’ recent experience in working in Architecture or Construction Management, with a specific focus on GIS and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related degree (Can be substituted with 8 years of experience.) Advance geographic information systems concepts, principles, practices and techniques, including computer mapping and attribute conversions, transfer, manipulation and analysis. Experience utilizing BIM for 4D and project coordination/clash detection. Experience working with Design and Construction Teams.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge of BIM and GIS workflows Experience knowledge to perform modeling and coordination task within AutoCAD, Revit and Map 3D Experience knowledge to perform data management task within SharePoint, BIM 360 Docs and Bluebeam. Experience knowledge to perform field survey data collection with ArcGIS Collector Strong experience with ArcGIS and Python software, tools and applications. Strong relational database concepts, methods and practices.
