Pay: $33-35.00/hour Schedule:
Full Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Overview This client is an industry-leading company in the nutritional health space, specializing in whole food-based dietary supplements. They are involved in every facet of the industry, including research, development, manufacturing, marketing, and advocacy. In this role, you will perform routine and non-routine analysis of raw, in-process, and finished products using various analytical methodologies. You will also process, interpret, and report testing results, investigate out-of-spec results, and assist with methodology improvements.
Responsibilities: Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process, finished products, and stability samples. Conduct analytical (HPLC-UV, UPLC/MS-MS, ICP/MS, GC/MSMS, HPTLC, UV/Vis, FTIR), physical (LOD, weight uniformity), and chemical (Karl Fisher, pH, titrations, USP monographs) analyses. Prepare sample, standard, and reagent solutions; maintain accurate records and documentation. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments; troubleshoot and report issues. Process and report testing data; perform peer reviews and assist with OOS investigations. Monitor stability studies and trends; ensure compliance with cGMP, cGLP, and internal standards. Train junior staff and assist in method development and SOP revisions. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and participate in hazardous waste disposal.
Qualifications: BS or BA degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science. 3–5 years of hands-on experience in an analytical lab, preferably in dietary supplements or related industry. HPLC experience required; familiarity with Waters instruments and Empower software preferred. MS experience highly desirable (ICP/MS, GC/MS-MS, HPLC/MS, or UPLC/MS-MS). Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; LIMS experience a plus. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and investigational skills. Experience with cGMP and cGLP required.
