Job Opportunity: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Tallahassee, FL
Join a well-established Neonatology practice at a premier Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) facility located in Tallahassee, Florida. With 30 years of dedicated service at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, this facility is equipped to handle high-risk maternity cases and is committed to providing exceptional healthcare to premature and critically ill newborns. The practice boasts a collaborative environment with a team of neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, pediatric intensivists, and pediatric hospitalists who prioritize family-centered care. Job Responsibilities:
Provide care within a Level-III NICU with 34 beds and an average daily census of 25. Participate in 3,500 annual deliveries, managing high-risk mothers and newborns. Collaborate with specialists including pediatric cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, and more. Support patient transport with a dedicated neonatal nurse and respiratory therapist. Maintain a friendly, professional atmosphere with top-tier nursing and ancillary services. Work scheduled 8-hour and 24-hour shifts as part of the NNP team. Contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach to neonatal care. Qualifications:
Master's Degree (minimum) and/or Doctorate in Nursing. NNP - Board Certified (FNP, PNP, or other certifications not accepted). Current Florida Nursing License or willingness to obtain. A minimum of 2 years of employment experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. Clean malpractice history is highly preferred. DEA must be obtained prior to start. License and Certification Requirements:
Florida RN License (or willingness to obtain). NNP - Board Certified (required). DEA certification (required).
