About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service & Insurance Verification Representative to join our healthcare support team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients and providers by managing communications, verifying insurance details, and maintaining accurate documentation. Responsibilities
Respond to inbound calls and emails promptly and professionally, in alignment with service goals
Provide accurate information regarding products, services, retail locations, and general inquiries
Process orders, route calls to appropriate departments, and follow up as needed
Document all call interactions and customer information according to standard operating procedures
Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness
Conduct insurance verification to determine patient eligibility, coverage, co-insurance, and deductibles
Obtain pre-authorizations and submit physician orders to insurance carriers when required
Navigate multiple electronic medical record (EMR) systems to retrieve and update documentation
Maintain accurate records in EMR systems, including authorization details and expiration dates
Communicate trends or issues with insurance carriers to Customer Service and Management
Ensure insurance carriers are listed in the company database; request additions when necessary
Contact patients when documentation does not meet payer guidelines and provide alternative options to facilitate referrals
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (retail or restaurant experience accepted)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a healthcare-related role
Familiarity with medical terminology
Background in nursing homes or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Prior experience handling inbound calls in a call center or help desk environment
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
