AWS Cloud Engineer

Key Role:
Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions for defense and intelligence community clients. Build secure, scalable AWS cloud architectures using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Configure and optimize AWS services (compute, storage, networking, security). Implement cloud security controls and ensure DoD compliance. Automate cloud operations and deployment pipelines, monitor performance and cost, and collaborate with security teams to maintain best practices. Provide technical expertise for cloud strategy and architecture decisions.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of AWS cloud engineering experience
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Programming/scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Knowledge of AWS networking and security services
Knowledge of AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks
Ability to operate in classified environments supporting mission‑critical systems
Secret clearance
High school diploma or GED
Any AWS Associate‑level certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Developer)
DoD 8570 IAT Level II or DoD 8410 CSSP certification
Additional Qualifications
Experience with AWS GovCloud or IL‑2/4/5/6 regions
Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS)
Experience in multi‑cloud environments
Knowledge of DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG)
Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field
AWS Professional‑level certification (Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, Security Specialty)
CISSP, CCSP, and other security certifications
Clearance Applicants must meet eligibility for access to classified information. Secret clearance required.
Compensation Annual salary range: $86,800 – $198,000. Posting will close within 90 days from posting date.
