We are seeking a Structural Project Engineer / Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our team. This role involves providing technical expertise in design, calculations, drawing preparation, and submission of structural engineering documents for various projects. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality results. Supervisory Responsibilities
The Structural Project Engineer / Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) will work under the supervision and guidance of licensed Professional Engineers (PE) or Project Managers (PM). Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Perform structural design tasks assigned by project managers, including drainage design calculations, grading calculations, research, and more. Design, engineer, and coordinate utilities and grading for project sites using drafting software alongside existing drawings, topography data, city standards, and surveying information. Assist with CAD drawing updates and revisions based on markups from project managers or design engineers. Ensure construction plans adhere to company standards and comply with local city guidelines. Research local design requirements to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements
Required Skills / Abilities
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred; willingness to learn is accepted. Practical experience in applying, modifying, and adapting structural engineering standards and techniques preferred; eagerness to learn is accepted. Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering required. EIT Certification preferred. Previous experience in engineering or land development preferred. Physical Requirements And Work Environment
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Must be able to visit project sites as necessary for troubleshooting and ensuring engineering quality.
