Overview
Associate Transplant Coordinator - Kidney Acquisition - Columbia University Irving Medical Center. This role supports transplant donors and recipients with administrative components of the transplant process and works with Transplant Coordinators (RN) and other clinical staff to facilitate comprehensive care and treatment. The position is located at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in partnership with Columbia University Irving Medical Center. This is a Days position, hours 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Responsibilities
Partner with Transplant Coordinators (RN) and other clinical staff to facilitate care and treatment specific to transplant patients and donors. Guide patients in all administrative components associated with the transplant process, using knowledge of donor and recipient treatment plans. Maintain direct contact with patients, in person, by telephone, or via e-mail, and coordinate with donor/organ procurement organizations. Qualifications
Required Criteria
High School Diploma or GED Knowledge in Medical Terminology Administrative experience in a clinic setting Knowledge of third party insurances, government programs and other insurance agencies for obtaining necessary authorizations for treatment Preferred Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree EPIC knowledge Transplant work experience Salary and Benefits
