Saint Vincent Hospital – Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time role with 24 hours flex; onboarding includes background check and pre-employment health screening with a drug screen.
Overview Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RN. The role provides direct clinical patient care, with responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients per shift, and unit-level supervision of staff. The RN supports the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high-quality, safe nursing care, staff competency, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to serve as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession.
Care settings include heart and vascular services, orthopedics and rehabilitation, surgical services (including Da Vinci robotic surgery and CyberKnife), and women & infants programs. The hospital emphasizes a high-quality, compassionate care environment.
Responsibilities
Provide direct clinical patient care and assess, plan, and implement nursing care for assigned patients per shift.
Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated; ensure safe, high-quality nursing care.
Support the CNO in ensuring staff competency, appropriate resource management, and adherence to policies.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills; act as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession.
Qualifications
Education Required: Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school. Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (bachelor\'s or master\'s degree).
Certifications Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law/regulation in the state of practice; CPR.
