Overview
Job Title: Senior/Staff Software Engineer with C++ – Drivers, Diagnostic, & Embedded Software (San Diego, CA) We are seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to work on the development of Intravascular Ultrasound Systems. You will be part of a cross-functional team and collaborate with electrical engineers, transducer engineers, software engineers, system engineers, and ultrasound engineers. Responsibilities
Architect, design, and develop driver, diagnostic, and embedded software for intravascular ultrasound systems. Interface with marketing, hardware, software, catheter design, and manufacturing teams to refine design requirements for next-generation intravascular ultrasound devices. Create software requirement specifications, software architecture documents, and detailed software design documents. Design, develop, and debug driver software and embedded software to implement communication between hardware and application software using C++. Qualifications
8+ years of experience in software/embedded software development, preferably in the field of medical electronics. Deep professional experience with C++ (required) and knowledge of digital signal and image processing; CUDA (preferred). Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. Ability to perform minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation. Experience creating detailed design documentation (specifications, design descriptions, verification and testing plans). How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are usually performed outside the main facilities, at customers’ or suppliers’ locations. Salary/pay range: The pay range for this position in CA is $126,000 to $201,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation such as an annual incentive bonus, stock purchase plan, and long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in the Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), education reimbursement, and more.
