Position Summary The Director of Supply Chain at HHG is responsible for driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of the company’s supply chain. This senior leadership role requires hands-on, practical, cross-functional, and visionary leadership. The role oversees Procurement, Contract Manufacturing (CoMan), Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Sales/Inventory/Operations Planning (SIOP). The Director will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and contribute to strategy and business execution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate people development, strategic leadership, strong tactical execution, systems excellence, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced consumer-packaged goods (CPG) environment.

Essential Functions

Serve as a strategic, cross-functional leader guiding key supply chain functions and collaborating with all areas of the business. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are required to drive alignment and deliver integrated solutions.

Sponsor and support the SIOP/S&OP program cross-functionally to drive revenue growth, customer service, cost reduction, waste reduction, and supply chain excellence.

Manage commodity PPV to optimize financial results, including commodity markets, hedging, tariffs, and timing of procurement and production.

Drive supplier performance and cost management across inputs to manufacturing of high-quality products.

Develop and elevate the Supply Chain function by building a high-performing team and optimizing structure, collaboration, and capabilities (MRP, demand planning, integrated S&OP).

Develop and execute supply chain initiatives and strategies to optimize procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution to meet company goals.

Maintain a hands-on leadership style, working with frontline employees to identify gaps and opportunities while incorporating employee feedback into decision-making.

Establish and oversee KPI dashboards to measure and improve supply chain performance across functions.

Lead optimization of freight, warehousing/inventory, and distribution costs.

Formulate and implement e-sourcing and procurement strategies to source high-quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining supplier relationships.

Develop and manage alternate suppliers to ensure resilience and flexibility; negotiate contracts and pricing formulas.

Oversee outsourcing strategies for co-manufacturing and co-packing domestically and internationally for flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

Evaluate and optimize freight costs and routes, including shipments to Asia, and improve 3PL performance.

Develop and oversee warehousing strategies in North America and Hawaii aligned with supply chain objectives.

Implement and optimize inventory management systems to increase turns, reduce carrying costs, and ensure product availability; leverage ERP capabilities for efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement to streamline operations, reduce costs, and maintain quality and regulatory compliance.

Oversee production planning and scheduling to maximize resource utilization, minimize lead times, and meet targets while upholding quality standards.

Lead the demand planning function to ensure accurate forecasting and efficient inventory management.

Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate disruptions and ensure business continuity.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Provide strategic supervision, direction, and mentorship to the Supply Chain and Demand Planning teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Promote internal bench strength and expertise to meet current and future challenges.

Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align supply chain strategies with business objectives and market demands.

Contribute to annual budgeting and strategic planning aligned with broader company goals.

Undertake special projects assigned by executive leadership and travel domestically and internationally as required to oversee operations and build relationships.

Adhere to company policies and uphold high standards in all responsibilities; maintain regular attendance.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience required. MBA in a related field preferred.

At least ten (10) years of progressive supply chain experience, including a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role, preferably in the CPG industry.

Strong people leadership and a track record of developing supply chain leaders.

Proven success in developing and implementing strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and drive process improvements.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision-making skills.

Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across levels.

Strategic thinker capable of anticipating challenges and opportunities and delivering proactive solutions.

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of best practices and playbooks within the CPG industry.

Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is highly preferred.
