Overview
At WOOD-TV, we’re successful because of the people we hire. The News Photographer operates television or video cameras to record images or scenes for news reports. This position operates TVUs for live shots, finds video, dials in live shots, and edits the stories we air on newscasts. Responsibilities
Shoots video for news reports. Confers with other personnel to discuss assignments, logistics, and shot requirements. Sets up, composes and executes video shots. Maintains video equipment. Edits video clips for television broadcasts. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements & Skills
High school diploma. Fluency in English. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. One year of experience operating video recording equipment is preferred. Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment. Proficiency with video recording equipment. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to work any shift. Work Environment / Physical Requirements
High-stress environment with deadline pressures. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment such as cameras, tripods, and lights, up to 25 pounds. Seniority level
