Job Summary:
Make and repair saddles and tack.
The Details:
Position Type: Year round
Pay: $25.50 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)
Housing: Eligible for a private studio apartment for $267 per month

Responsibilities
Make saddles according to specs provided by the Livery Manager
Design and build tack and equipment customized for canyon use
Repair and refurbish existing tack and equipment, getting longest possible use out of equipment
Clean and maintain leather shop and leather working equipment
Responsible for maintaining adequate supply and material inventory
Do trail guide duties when needed or directed by Livery Management
Wear required personal protective equipment while performing tasks
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Leather working skills and experience
Saddle making experience
Ability to work without supervision
Must possess own leathersmithing tools
Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, and sit as needed, and to handle items with occasional climbing, bending, and lifting. This role may require lifting 10–50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally, and pushing/pulling 12–40 lbs frequently and 41–100 lbs occasionally. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
