Overview
Lead Mission Systems Crew Systems Engineer at Boeing. This position is part of a Phantom Works proprietary program located in Berkeley, MO. The role will lead solutions and integration of Displays, Crew Storage, HUD, Helmet, and/or other crew systems networks solutions within a high-performing cross-functional team focused on Mission Systems Crew Systems. This position reports to the Core Avionics team within Mission Systems on a Phantom Works Proprietary program. Contingent upon award. Responsibilities
The lead provides technical oversight to crew systems hardware engineers Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other analyses to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design Researches specific technology advances for potential application Designs hardware, software, and interface specifications Architect Network and Processing solutions Define and conduct tests to validate performance of designs to requirements Using CAMEO/MBSE, analyze, translate, and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications with traceability throughout the product lifecycle Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements Support project management by providing work statements, budgets, schedules and other required inputs and by reporting project status Interface with multiple disciplines, internal and external customers, suppliers, and multiple levels of the organization Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited program in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Level 5: 14+ years\' related work experience with a bachelor\'s degree OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience Experience
Electrical engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification Experience with avionics hardware development, design, production, and project management Preferred Qualifications
Development and qualification, physical and functional integration and design and resolving supplier technical issues Experience with Mission Systems Crew Systems Displays Experience with Electrical engineering involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification Experience with Avionics Hardware development, design, production and project management Typical Education/Experience
Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 14 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred though not required. Relocation
Relocation is authorized for qualified candidates Security and Clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Export Control requirements apply (U.S. Person per 22 C.F.R. 120.15). Other Details
