Summary of Role: The

Part-Time Marketing Specialist

position plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of marketing initiatives that promote the Credit Union’s products, services, and community involvement. The Marketing Specialist will help strengthen brand awareness, enhance member engagement, and support the Credit Union’s growth objectives. The successful candidate must exercise good judgment in various situations, use superb communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and balance multiple competing priorities. This position requires professionalism, flexibility, initiative, and great teamwork.

While currently designed as a part time role, this role has potential to become full time in the future based on business needs

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Assist in creating and executing marketing campaigns across social, digital, print, and in-branch channels.

Manage content creation for social media, websites, emails, and digital banking.

Support member communication strategies, including promotional materials, educational content, and event marketing.

Assist in building and maintaining a comprehensive marketing calendar.

Assist with graphic design, copywriting, and layout for marketing materials.

Help plan and promote credit union events and community initiatives.

Maintain knowledge of credit union products and services to ensure accurate and engaging messaging.

Ensures compliance with all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.

Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).

1–3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in financial services.

Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

Proficiency in social media management, email platforms, and basic graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (preferred), or similar).

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.

Strong computer and general office equipment knowledge.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

Salary Description: Starting at $25/hour, commensurate with experience
