Senior Field Engineer

to join the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) project in Honolulu, HI. The expected salary range is $140,000 - $160,000 depending upon experience. Tutor Perini is the general contractor for the HART City Center Guideway and Stations project, a contract valued at approximately $1.66 billion, including six rail stations and about three miles of elevated rail guideway. Construction is expected to commence in the second half of 2025 and be substantially completed in 2030. Meet daily with project crews to review the production schedule and confirm materials, equipment and resources are available to continue production on schedule and within budget Collect, coordinate and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data to ensure quality and contract specification compliance Provide technical input for project work plan and scheduling; identify risk elements that could impact budget or schedule Evaluate daily production, schedule and budget projections to track project performance; document daily activities using approved methods and technologies Perform additional assignments per management’s direction Remit accurate project quantity input and controls using assigned project cost coding; coordinate with Company finance and accounting on time, materials, equipment and subcontractor needs Review and approve daily timecards for all Company construction crews; resolve timecard inquiries with Office Manager, payroll and supervisors Review project specifications for quality assurance; initiate and manage certificates, inspections and other documentation for construction production Plan field layout with construction crews and engineering leaders; ensure utilities and commercial lines are marked before production and obtain permits as needed Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliant work environment; attend weekly safety meetings and present field analysis as needed Assist the estimating team with project schedules and provide technical input as needed Assist the development of design drawings and provide technical input as needed Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed Reconcile the job close-out checklist with the owner representative and field crews at project end Maintain knowledge of Company values and strategic plan Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering or construction management Four plus years of structural engineering or heavy highway experience preferred Knowledge of scheduling processes and industry best practices Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials and standards applicable to the project Ability to assume responsibility and communicate effectively with others Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Proficient verbal and written communication skills Proven self-starter with motivation to learn and grow knowledge Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management preferred Equal Opportunity Employer
