Overview The HR Coordinator is responsible for responding to and assisting internal and external HR related inquiries. The HR Coordinator will facilitate daily HR functions such as supporting the interviewing process and working closely with staffing agencies and TAS hiring managers. The HR Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Company’s human resource department.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and schedules contractor and/or direct hire interviews using Jobvite

Obtains contractor status updates from staffing agencies and tracks status via Jobvite

Updates hiring managers/supervisors on position files and remaining open positions

Sends out contractor notifications such as orientations, terminations, etc.

Initiates IT tickets for computer users for both contractors and new hires

Initiates new hire onboarding via ExponentHR

Initiates and monitors pre-employment screening processes including employment verifications, reference checks, background checks, and drug screenings

Assists in reviewing I-9 documents, completing E-Verify for new hires, uploads necessary documents to ExponentHR, such as offer letters, applications, etc.

Sends all necessary correspondence to candidates such as applications, travel directions, etc.

Prepares documents and supplies for new hire orientation

Arranges travel and lodging for candidates and relocating new hires

Conducts new hire orientation on an as-needed basis

Updates job descriptions and saves them to the HR drive

Phone screens and arranges interviews for interns

Serves as primary back-up for Receptionist

Arranges contractor and direct hire orientations and schedules conference rooms

Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records

Travels to other TAS facilities within the Houston area to assist with interviews, posting internal communications, employee relation matters, etc.

Qualifications

Excellent general administrative skills.

Time management skills and independent judgment to prioritize and organize diversified workload.

Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Excellent computer skills and knowledge of a variety of software applications.

Some analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports.

Minimum Requirements

Two+ years’ experience in a Human Resources support role

Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Proven ability to handle and work with confidential information

Preferred Requirements

Previous experience with a HR Information System (HRIS)

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Education and Training

High School diploma

Associate degree in business a plus
