AppleOne is partnering with a client who is seeking a hands-on
Finance Manager
to support all accounting and financial operations for their facility within the hospitality, amusement, or travel services industry. This is a critical, in-office role responsible for ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations as well as Company policies. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting activities, support the entire monthly accounting cycle, and be responsible for detailed financial reporting and analysis. This candidate should have a strong background in GAAP, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to train and support a growing finance team. Experience in venue management, entertainment, or hospitality is a strong plus. City : Long Beach, CA 90802 Employment Type : Full-Time Job Type : Direct Hire Working Hours : Standard business hours Workplace Type : In-Office Compensation : $100,000 annually Key Responsibilities Financial Operations : Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including
payroll processing (bi-weekly) , event accounting, box office accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Reporting & Closing : Oversee and complete the monthly accounting cycle, including general ledger reconciliations, trial balance reviews, and balance sheet analyses. Financial Statement Preparation : Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages, including monthly statements, annual budgets, annual reports, and corporate financial statements. Ledger & Asset Management : Maintain and reconcile general and subsidiary ledgers, revenue recognition, expense accruals, capital projects, and fixed asset records. Analysis & Compliance : Conduct financial analysis, cost/revenue projections, and various ad-hoc reporting. Assist with preparation for internal and external audits and serve as
Manager on Duty
when assigned. Process Improvement : Implement system controls and develop procedures to improve overall accounting processes and maintain procedural documentation (e.g., payroll, timekeeping, inventory). Team Support : Assist with onboarding, training, and knowledge-sharing for new or temporary finance staff. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance , or a related field. 3–5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience . Knowledge of
GAAP
and financial reporting standards. Proficiency with accounting systems and
Microsoft Excel . Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to meet deadlines. CPA or CMA
certification is preferred. Experience in venue management, entertainment, or hospitality is a plus.
