Overview
Position Title Product Manager – Investment Management Location New York, NY 10018 Job Summary The Product Manager, Investment Management, will oversee the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of investment products offered through the Private Bank and Wealth platform. Reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), this individual will serve as the key liaison between investment management, distribution, operations, compliance, and technology teams to ensure the delivery of competitive and compliant investment solutions that meet client needs and support the firm’s strategic objectives Salary Pay Range: $84,878 – $112,463 – $140,049
Job Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development
– Partner with the CIO to define and execute the investment product strategy, including managed accounts, model portfolios, alternative investments, mutual funds, and other wealth management solutions. Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and client feedback sessions to identify gaps and opportunities. Develop and maintain the product roadmap aligned with firm priorities and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Leadership
– Collaborate with distribution, advisor support, operations, legal, compliance, risk, and technology to ensure seamless product implementation. Coordinate advisor and client communications, including training, product updates, and marketing collateral. Serve as subject matter expert on investment products for internal stakeholders.
Regulatory & Risk Oversight
– Partner with compliance and legal to ensure investment products meet broker-dealer regulatory standards (FINRA, SEC, etc.). Monitor product risk and performance against stated objectives and guidelines. Implement product changes or closures as required to protect client interests and firm reputation.
Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions
Analyzes and resolves problems pertaining to management of investment products
Additional Accountabilities
Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent
Minimum experience required: 4 Years of experience in investment product management, wealth management, or asset management, preferably within a Private Bank, Broker-Dealer or financial services firm.
Strong understanding of investment vehicles, portfolio construction, and capital markets.
Demonstrated ability to manage product lifecycle from concept to execution.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FINRA, SEC, DOL) and operational frameworks for Private Banks.
Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Business Management.
