Identify, analyze, and fix security vulnerabilities and code risks in existing Java applications.
Responsibilities
Identify, analyze, and fix security vulnerabilities and code risks in existing Java applications.
Perform code remediation to comply with security standards, vulnerability scans, and audit findings.
Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Security teams to validate fixes and ensure secure deployment.
Conduct root cause analysis on frequent backouts, rollbacks, or failed deployments.
Implement safe rollback strategies and maintain system stability during remediation activities.
Review dependency libraries, frameworks, and configurations to ensure compliance with security baselines.
Participate in peer code reviews to ensure high-quality and secure code changes.
Document fixes, backout procedures, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Java development, preferably in maintenance or support-heavy roles.
Strong understanding of Java 8+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
Experience with application security, OWASP principles, and vulnerability management.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
Strong debugging and rollback management skills.
