Job Overview
The Executive Coordinator provides high-level administrative and operational support to the Vice President for Public Safety at Georgetown University. The role manages complex scheduling, communications, and project support while ensuring the efficient functioning of daily operations. It requires sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Work Interactions
The Executive Coordinator works closely with the Vice President for Public Safety daily, serving as a trusted partner in managing schedules, communications, and priorities. The role requires regular interaction with senior leaders across the university, as well as collaboration with offices such as the President’s Office, Provost’s Office, Chief Operating Officer, Human Resources, Legal Counsel, and Finance. The Executive Coordinator also engages with faculty, staff, and students to support public safety programs and respond to inquiries, while representing the Vice President in communications with external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, community partners, and vendors. Interactions often involve sensitive or confidential information, requiring discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of progressively responsible administrative experience supporting senior leadership.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education, law enforcement, emergency management, environmental health & safety, or other public safety administration.
Familiarity with Georgetown University systems, policies, and procedures.
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Work Mode Designation
This position has been designated as

Pay Range
The projected salary range for this position is
$66,783.00 - $126,720.23 . Compensation is determined by factors including the candidate’s qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
