Job Description As an Associate Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects. You will independently collect construction material samples from various sites, perform tests and inspections to assess properties and integrity, and document findings. Your results will inform project managers and stakeholders, supporting decision‑making and maintaining structural integrity and safety.
Responsibilities include traveling to job sites, working in diverse terrains and weather conditions, and adhering to established procedures and standards.
Position Includes
Company truck for transportation to and from job sites
Applicable PPE (personal protective equipment) provided
Work boot reimbursement program
Company‑issued laptop
Cell phone reimbursement options
Fully paid training, mentorship program participation, and hands‑on experience shadowing seasoned professionals
Qualifications
Strong communication skills
Ability to contribute effectively to a team
3+ years of experience in construction observation, inspection, testing, or a related field
Valid driver’s license with a good driving history
Alertness and commitment to safe work practices
Associate degree from a technical or four‑year school preferred but not required
Certifications (ACI Grade 1, ICC Nuclear Gauge, or applicable DOT/Road) preferred but not required
