Purpose The Care Liaison (CL) is the primary contact for prescription referrals, handling intake, data entry, referral processing, outbound mail, and triaging inquiries. The CL will collaborate will work cross-functionally to support the patient service program.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for prescription referrals.
Execution of end-to-end processes to support appropriate data entry and referral triaging.
Support activities including intake and data entry of prescription referrals, referral processing, inbound faxing, and preparing outbound mail for patient/prescriber.
Work cross-functionally across Operations in supporting the patient service program such as reimbursement, case management and pharmacy triage support.
Prepare outbound mail and/or faxes for patients.
Problem solving skills for resolving discrepancies in patient, prescriber or insurance information.
Uphold patient privacy laws and foster collaborative team relationships.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma
Minimum of 2 years of solid customer service experience
Ability to efficiently navigate multiple screens and systems to perform work. Ability to work assigned 8 hour shift between program operating hours of 8am-8pm EST.
Typing speed of at least 50+ WPM with high accuracy
Ability to proficiently use Microsoft programs.
Ability to thrive in a regulated, remote, high-volume environment
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Undergraduate degree
2 + years’ experience in healthcare setting
Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy standards
Ability to understand medical terminology, NDC, ICD-10, and insurance
Bilingual Spanish speaking, reading and writing
