Position Summary We seek highly motivated and qualified candidates for a full‑time, faculty position at a rank commensurate with experience to join the Community Health Science & Policy Program (CHSP) in the School of Public Health (SPH). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the launch and development of our new Master of Public Health (MPH) program with a concentration in CHSP on the Louisiana State University Baton Rouge campus.
Responsibilities • Assist in developing and teaching graduate‑level courses in community health, health communications, health policy, behavioral health theory, health program development and evaluation, public health project management, and more.
• Contribute to the curriculum design and implementation of the MPH program.
• Mentor and advise MPH students in their academic progress.
• Participate in service activities at the departmental, college, and university levels.
• Collaborate with public health agencies and community organizations to foster practical learning experiences for students.
Qualifications Required:
Doctorate degree in a public health discipline; evidence of teaching excellence in higher education, preferably at the graduate level.
Preferred:
Additional experience or interest in program development; expertise in innovative teaching methodologies, including online and hybrid course delivery.
