Every member of our team plays a vital role in preparing students to professionally provide high quality, ethical and compassionate health care services and become the best in their chosen field.***Clarkson College is currently seeking a Student Accounts and Compliance Coordinator for a part-time position working 24 hours a week. This position is forward-facing, interacting directly with students and ensuring the accuracy of student financial records, billing processes, and collection processes. This role will work closely with the Senior Student Accounts and Compliance Coordinator, the Financial Aid Department and other student service and academic departments to provide accurate financial services for student and other College receivables, properly assess tuition and fees, and apply payments with accurate tuition approved discounts, scholarships, and financial aid disbursements.

The Student Accounts and Compliance Coordinator is also responsible for completing timely and properly recorded billing, collections, and tracking processes of all these services to maintain alignment with

the mission and goals of Clarkson College and adhere with all regulatory practices to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory and accrediting bodies.

The Student Accounts and Compliance Coordinator reports directly to the Vice President of College Finance and is additionally directed by the College Controller to support strategic initiatives, accrediting body functions, and state and federally compliant financial practices. This position will always provide excellent customer service to students and other internal and external College customers through face-to-face interactions, video conferencing, telephonic, written and electronic communications and work closely with the other accounting positions in the College Finance Division to provide assistance and coverage to other student accounting services, as required.

Required Qualifications:



Associate's degree in accounting or related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined required.



Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.



Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail required.



Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience required.



Ability to use pc hardware and Microsoft Office Suite software required.



Ability to create, analyze, read, and interpret financial reports required.



Minimum two years experience in accounting, accounts receivable or related function required.

Preferred Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.



Minimum one year experience in customer service preferred.
