Overview
TriTech Enterprise Systems, Inc. (TriTech) is seeking a Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer to support a Maryland State contract. This is an onsite contract. This candidate will maintain and optimize the underlying AWS infrastructure supporting various applications like (EVRRS, EIS, PMM, APRP) within the cloud ecosystem. In addition, the candidate will ensure scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency through proactive monitoring, auto scaling configuration, and disaster recovery readiness. The candidate will act as the technical bridge between operations and application-level support teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage AWS environment operations including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager.
Perform continuous monitoring and trend analysis to ensure uptime ≥99%.
Validate and tune autoscaling policies to align with application demand.
Conduct disaster recovery (DR) drills, validate RTO/RPO objectives, and document outcomes.
Oversee patching, backup verification, and environment hardening in coordination with Security Engineer.
Provide cost optimization reports via AWS Cost Explorer and recommend resource right-sizing.
Troubleshoot infrastructure-level performance bottlenecks and support root cause analysis.
Maintain and update infrastructure runbooks and automation scripts (Python/Bash).
Support release engineers during production deployments and rollback procedures.
Ensure compliance with MD THINK’s infrastructure governance and ITIL Service Continuity practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5–7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management or system engineering.
Strong working knowledge of AWS CloudWatch, Systems Manager, and IAM.
Experience in environment monitoring, capacity planning, and DR operations.
Familiarity with ITIL Service Continuity and Availability Management principles.
Preferred Skills / Certifications
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate or AWS Solutions Architect.
Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Exposure to Splunk, Tanium, and New Relic monitoring stacks.
Understanding of FedRAMP, HIPAA, or MARS-E2 compliance controls.
