Phased Array UT (PAUT) Technician – Level II

Location: Cheswick, PA Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire Start Date: Immediate Compensation: Based on experience and certifications Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced PAUT Level II Technician to join our full-time team in Cheswick, PA, supporting a wide range of UT and PAUT projects. This role requires proficiency in advanced UT methods and the ability to work independently on inspection assignments. Responsibilities: Perform and interpret inspections using Straight Beam, Shearwave, and/or Phased Array UT techniques. Prepare and review inspection reports in accordance with code and client requirements. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of NDT equipment. Mentor and assist Level I technicians as needed. Support QA/QC initiatives and ensure compliance with all safety standards. Qualifications: ASNT Level II (or equivalent) certification or documented training and experience in PAUT, Straight Beam, and/or Shearwave UT. Demonstrated experience with ultrasonic inspection methods in field or shop environments. Strong reporting and interpretation skills. Preferred: Additional NDT certifications such as VT, MT, PT, RT. Local candidates or those willing to relocate to Pittsburgh strongly preferred. Per diem may be offered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the project.
